AAO inaugurates Ellerbrock Educator Award

The American Academy of Optometry (AAO) has established the annual Vincent Ellerbrock Clinician Educator Award to honor a clinician widely recognized by Academy peers and the profession for expertise and willingness to share knowledge for the benefit of improved patient care.

 

Orlando, FL-The American Academy of Optometry (AAO) has established the Vincent Ellerbrock Clinician Educator Award. The award will be presented annually to a distinguished clinician widely recognized by Academy peers and the profession for his or her clinical expertise and willingness to share their knowledge for the benefit of improved patient care.

Award nomination letters must come from Academy Fellows in good standing. All award nominations and supporting documents must be submitted by e-mail to Helen Viksnins at HelenV@aaoptom.org by April 1. The Academy’s Awards Committee will review all submissions and select the 2013 awardees, who will be notified by late summer. Awardees will be recognized during the Academy’s Awards Program on Oct. 25 during Academy 2013 in Seattle.
