Ashley Wallace Tucker, OD, FAAO, FSLS, Dipl ABO:

I think it's incredible that ophthalmology and optometry are coming together in this conference. I don't think I've ever had a learning experience quite like this. It's just great to have a collaborative approach to eye care. You know, we have a lot to offer each other as 2 professions that are different but aligned in the mission for the best eye health and eye care for our patients. Because we have so much to offer each other; we don't even know what we don't know that we can offer each other as a profession. Again, we're all eye health eye care professionals, and we all have the same mission. We want the very best care for our patients. So if we can make that collaborative, if we can make referring back and forth to each other seamless and confidently, we could have such a better experience as practitioners and our patients can have a much better experience.
