EyeSouth Partners announces 40th affiliation with its Community Eye Care Specialists partnership

EyeSouth Partners has announced its 40th affiliation with its partnership with Community Eye Care Specialists. The affiliation marks EyeSouth’s first in New York and third in Pennsylvania, according to a news release.1

“We welcome Community Eye Care Specialists to the EyeSouth family with open arms,” Eugene Gabianelli, MD, chief medical officer of EyeSouth Partners, said in the release. “Community Eye Care Specialists has cultivated an impressive practice dedicated to providing high-quality care to their patients. We look forward to supporting their development across Pennsylvania.”

Community Eye Care Specialists comprises 3 different locations in New York in addition to 2 other locations and a surgery and laser center located in Pennsylvania. Although the company offers cataract and cosmetic surgeries, other services such as cataract evaluation, comprehensive eye examinations and glaucoma care, dry eye treatment, and custom contact lens fittings are provided for patients. Optical shops and a wide selection of frames and glasses are also available.2

Community Eye Care Specialists is led by Gordon Wuebbolt, MD, and Beau Froebel, MD, who have been serving patients for almost 30 years in Pennsylvania. “Partnering with EyeSouth is an exciting opportunity for our practice,” Wuebbolt said in the release. “The doctors and staff at Community Eye Care Specialists are proud to provide quality comprehensive vision services [to] patients in Pennsylvania and New York for over 27 years. EyeSouth shares our passion to offer the best possible treatment plans using the most advanced technology while providing undivided attention to our patients and their needs. This partnership will expand on Community Eye Care Specialists’ mission to help our patients live their best lives through compassionate, patient-centered eye care.”

EyeSouth Partners provides eye care–focused management services, which assist with network building for US eye care services. The company’s network consists of 40 practices and more than 300 eye care providers that administer medical and surgical eye care services in more than 180 locations. These locations include 20 surgery centers throughout 13 states, including Georgia, Texas, Kentucky, and South Carolina.1

Provident Healthcare Partners, an investment bank focused on the health care industry, will serve as the exclusive financial adviser to Community Eye Care Specialists pertaining to its affiliation with EyeSouth Partners.1
