Industry supports EyeXam mobile app to help users find local eyecare practitioners.

San Jose, CA-EyeXam has acquired new sponsorships with industry partners to provide consumers with a positive user experience while searching for a local eyecare provider. Sponsors will “mobil-eyez” selected eyecare practices by supporting the development of the practices’ Mobile Virtual Profile (MVP), thereby highlighting these practices to current and future patients via the mobile space, social media, and other channels.

MVPs allow practices to enter the mobile space, have a presence on different social media channels, such as Facebook and Yelp, and stay connected with patients anytime, anywhere. Practices can customize their MVP to include any information they choose to share or simply display their Facebook page so patients can “like” their posts, view their photos, and check-in while at their offices.

EyeXam is now available on Apple iOS and Android devices reaching over 700 million mobile users. Through its partnership with Eyefinity, EyeXam has over 28,000 eyecare professionals listed in a GPS-based directory. Vision Source has also renewed its partnership with EyeXam and is providing its member-offices branded listings. Sponsors to date include Eyefinity, Vision Source,Menicon America,SynergEyes, Focus Laboratories Inc., and QSpex.
