Johnson & Johnson introduces Acuvue Oasys MAX 1-Day multifocal toric lenses, the first and only daily disposable contact lens for astigmatism and presbyopia.
Following the launch of the toric Acuvue Oasys MAX 1-Day, Johnson & Johnson will have the first and only complete family of daily disposable contact lenses.

Johnson & Johnson unveiled the launch of Acuvue Oasys MAX 1-day multifocal contact lenses for astigmatism, a long-awaited extension of the popular Acuvue Oasys line and the first and only daily disposable contact lens for people with both astigmatism and presbyopia. The lens is available in the US and Canada as of today, and the launch of Acuvue Oasys MAX 1-Day for astigmatism is anticipated in late summer 2025.

The toric lens features the 4 proprietary technologies that are hallmarks of the Acuvue Oasys brand: The Blink-Stabilized Design keeps the lens in place to minimize or eliminate distortion or blurriness when blinking or moving the head; Pupil-Optimized Design addresses changing pupil sizes in wearers with presbyopia; TearStable Technology keeps the lens hydrated for full day comfort; and OptiBlue Light Filter provides 60% blue-violet light filtering, which is the highest in the industry.

A complete contact lens family includes sphere, multifocal, toric, and multifocal toric contact lenses.
Acuvue Oasys MAX 1-Day multifocal for astigmatism is available now in the US and Canada, and Johnson & Johnson intends to expand beyond this market in 2025. Acuvue Oasys MAX -Day for astigmatism is expected to launch in the US and Canada during the summer of 2025, and the company intends to expand to global markets before the end of the year as well.
