Optometry Times® polled our audience with the following question from March 11, 2022 to March 25, 2022:​ What is your biggest frustration with optometry as a whole?

The poll appeared on optometrytimes.com and was promoted on social media channels. Results show the biggest goal for a majority of responding ODs is to hire additional staff.

15 ODs responded, in total. Of these:

  • 9 responded "Low reimbursement"
  • 1 responded "Lack of reciprocity"
  • 1 responded "Rise of private equity"
  • 4 responded "Poor understanding of optometry by others"
