Optometry Times® polled our audience with the following question from July 27, 2021 to August 13, 2021:​ What is your first-line approach to emergent presbyopes who wear contact lenses?

The poll appeared on optometrytimes.com and was promoted on various social media channels. Results show a majority of responding ODs' first-line approach to emergent presbyopies who wear contact lenses is multifocal contact lenses.

44 ODs responded, in total. Of these:

• 23 responded "Multifocal contact lenses"

• 10 responded "Monovision contact lenses"

• 10 responded "Low-power readers over single-vision contact lenses"

• 1 responded "Low-power readers over single-vision contact lenses"
