This particular talk covers all anterior segment laser procedures that ODs can perform in states where ODs are allowed to do lasers—and that number of states is growing all the time; [it] seems like new states are coming on board every year, every couple of years.
Anterior segment laser training has been present in the optometry schools for many years now, and I'm involved in teaching it at IU—we do lasers in our clinic here at IU—in Indiana we can do anterior segment laser.
My goal in this talk is to cover a little bit about the background on lasers how they work, and then to cover the main three anterior segment laser procedures that we do as ODs.
