TrueVision 3D Surgical and Lensar Inc. recently announced a global co-development and distribution agreement that integrates TrueVision’s TrueGuide system into the Lensar Laser System’s technology suite.

Orlando, FL-TrueVision 3D Surgical and Lensar Inc. recently announced a global co-development and distribution agreement that integrates TrueVision’s TrueGuide system into the Lensar Laser System’s technology suite.

Lensar’s augmented reality imaging technology rotates around the eye and takes scanning images at multiple angles to locate and identify the relevant ocular surfaces, measuring them, and capturing exact biometric data. This information is then used to create a 3D model of the anterior anatomy to help guide customized treatment and precise laser placement of each laser pulse.

In related news, TrueVision 3D Surgical and Leica Microsystems recently announced that Leica will incorporate key components of TrueVision’s 3D intelligent digital visualization and guidance platform into selected Leica Microsystems surgical products under the Leica brand. In addition to co-marketing the Leica and 3D by TrueVision products, the 2 companies will collaborate on projects that will further integrate their respective optical and digital technologies to improve microsurgery outcomes in ophthalmology and neurosurgery.
