Dr. Kristie Nguyen shares her favorite parts of Vision Expo West 2024 and shares her excitement for the relocation of Vision Expo East for 2025.

Kristie Nguyen, OD, shared her positive experience at Vision Expo West in Las Vegas. As an optometrist from Orlando, Florida, she has enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and meeting new people at the conference. Nguyen has been actively creating content for social media showcasing new products and technologies on the expo floor. One company she is particularly excited to work with this year is Barti, and she is interested in their new AI Scribe technology available to users.

Nguyen appreciates the unique atmosphere at Vision Expo each year, noting the diverse and engaged crowd from the optical industry. She values the networking opportunities and constant introduction of new offerings.

Nguyen expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming Vision Expo in her hometown of Orlando. As a native Orlando resident, she will not have to deal with cold weather or checking heavy coats. Additionally, the local location will be very convenient for her compared to traveling to New York City in the past. Nguyen highlighted some of the attractions Orlando has to offer attendees, such as Disney World, Universal Studios, and activities along International Drive, while also mentioning smaller nearby cities and towns with great food and drinks.

Overall, Vision Expo provides an excellent platform for Nguyen and other professionals to meet up with friends, develop new connections, learn about the latest technology and products, and earn continuing education credits. The in-person interactions and social aspects are very valuable to her. As someone who actively engages on social media, she enjoys putting faces to the names of colleagues she knows online. Nguyen is looking forward to joining her optical peers in Orlando next year for another positive Vision Expo experience.
