CE suggestion: The Optics of Free-Form Progressive Lenses

Article

Donna Suter suggests a Carl Zeiss Vision-supported continuing education (CE) program on free-form technology in progressive lenses.

Thanks to a suggestion from Donna Suter, Optometry Times-published president of Suter Consulting Group, we would like to point you to a continuing education program on new lens technology. The resource, from 2020Mag.com, is titled "The Optics of Free-Form Progressive Lenses."

The course, approved for one hour of CE credit by the American Board of Opticianry, is aimed at defining free-form technology in progressive lenses, demonstrating the benefits of using a computer engine to optimize prescriptions for these designs, and describing future use opportunities. The faculty/editorial board of the program includes Darryl J. Meister, ABOM, technical marketing manager for Carl Zeiss Vision.

When readers are finally finished with the program, it offers a test on the information. Test questions can even be viewed prior to taking the test. Those interested should take a look at the program as soon as possible, it will expire in a few months (November 30, 2012).

Again, thanks to Donna Suter for the suggestion. Check out the Suter Consulting Group on Facebook and a list of Donna Suter's published articles on Optometry Times.
