Sheryl Stevenson:
So we are joined today by Dr Bonnie An Henderson, who is program director and cofounder of the EnVision Summit, which is held each President's Day weekend in Puerto Rico. And next year, the dates are going to be February 14 through 17. So we're looking forward to that. Welcome to you. We'd love to learn more about what you can tell us about the agenda that's planned for next year in terms of symposia and surgical videos and panel discussions. What can you tell us?

Bonnie An Henderson, MD:
Absolutely. Hi, Sheryl! Thank you so much for having me. I'm so excited to talk about EnVision Summit. As you said, this is our sixth year now, and we always hold it in Puerto Rico in February, over President's Day weekend. And we're so excited this year, there's so many new things happening.

And just if you're not aware of EnVision Summit, let me just give you a brief summary of what the meeting is all about. So it is a multi-specialty ophthalmology CME meeting, and now we actually have an optometry program as well, and it has excellent science. It has amazing talks, amazing lectures. So it has all the really important, serious topics of ophthalmology. However, what I think is really unique about it is that it really is a family-friendly meeting. So a lot of a lot of meetings are usually in beautiful places, and even though some people may bring their spouse or their family, usually the meeting is not a very family-friendly meeting. So the physician is usually in the lecture hall by themselves, but their spouse and their children are elsewhere.

But this meeting really incorporated all parts of your life, so not just your your medical life, but also your personal life. So you will see that in the actual lecture halls. You will see parents with their children in the lecture halls; the children can sit in the audience and watch mom on the podium give a talk and listen to what they do on a day-to-day basis. All the meals are included, the social events. So you really have a nice combination of people who are there to learn, but also to share that experience with their family and also industry, too. You know that our industry partners are incredibly important when we put on educational meetings, and they're there also to collaborate, to to meet with us, to talk about how we can work together to really advance science, whether it's clinical trials or studies that we can do together. And so it's a really wonderful environment. So I think that's really unique about EnVision Summit.

This year, there are a couple things that are really exciting. We have this wonderful new partnership with MJH Life Sciences and PER, they actually worked with us last year for the CME provider, but this year, they're even taking a larger role and really helping organize everything. So I'm so thrilled to be partnering with them. They're really going to be supporting all the educational aspects as well as all the logistics. So I'm sure it's going to go even more smoothly than before. So I think that's one of the newest and most exciting changes for this coming meeting in 2025.

Stevenson:
Absolutely. And for full disclosure, MJH Life Sciences is the parent company of Ophthalmology Times and Optometry Times, so we are very excited about the partnership as well.
