A new team of optometric professionals will work to help take the guesswork out of managing a successful practice by providing tailored solutions that will help practitioners focus on patient care.1 Four optometric industry companies – Practice Compliance Solutions, CodeSAFEPLUS, Practice Resource Management, and EyeCode Education – have formed Practice Performance Partners, according to a news release.
“Our clients tell us that the growing complexity of compliance, billing, and education is pulling them away from their core mission of delivering exceptional eye care," said Chris Wolfe, OD, FAAO, a founding partner of Practice Performance Partners, in the release. "That’s why we created Practice Performance Partners — to give doctors peace of mind and practical solutions that simplify their workload and improve their bottom line."
Other founding members include Joe DeLoach, OD, FAAO; John Rumpakis, OD, MBA; Peter Cass, OD; and Bj Avery. Wolfe works as an educator and clinician and is known for practice insights in optometric practice management. Compliance expert DeLoach has decades of experience guiding practices through regulatory challenges. For coding and billing, reimbursement, and medical economics, Rumpakis, who is also the team’s CEO, has been helping practices and industry partners navigate the challenging waters of the health care environment. Cass has worked as a practice management and health information technology consultant, and Avery, the team’s chief marketing officer, is a former association director.1
As for the Practice Performance Partners, Practice Compliance Solutions works to keep practices audit-ready and compliant with federal and state regulations, with CodeSAFEPLUS ensuring accurate coding and billing practices. PRMI consists of specialists in coding, reimbursement, and practice appraisals and transitions, with EyeCode Education providing education and training.1
