Eye care franchise Pearle Vision has been recognized as 1 of the top 50 franchises in Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500.1 The company sits at spot 43 for “its outstanding performance in areas including unit growth, financial strength and stability, and brand power,” according to a news release.

With over 550 units in the US and Canada, Pearle Vision ranks first in the optical industry and is the second-highest health and wellness franchise of 2025. Additionally, the company has also been recognized as the top franchise for veterans who are attracted to the franchise model and comprehensive marketing support and training.1

Entrepeneur cited the benefits of starting a Pearle Vision franchise include consistency of business, the parent company paying all franchise ownersroyalty fees based on dispensing sales, a competitive pricing scheme for eyewear brands, and a comprehensive launch plan.2 Additionally, Pearle Vision also works with those who already own optical practices.2

As for training and support given by Pearle Vision, 307 hours of on-the-job and 87 hours of classroom training are included. Ongoing support includes newsletters, a toll-free line, field operations, site selection, lease negotiation, security and safety procedures, online support, and meetings and conventions, among others. Marketing support includes co-op advertising, ad templates, email marketing, national and social media, website development, a loyalty program and app, regional advertising, and SEO guidance.2
