Optometry Times® polled our audience with the following question from August 27, 2021 to September 10, 2021:​ What is the most underutilized piece of equipment?

The poll appeared on optometrytimes.com and was promoted on various social media channels. Results show a majority of responding ODs' most underutilized piece of equipment was a meibographer.

42 ODs responded, in total. Of these:

  • 4 responded "SD-OCT"
  • 2 responded "Fundus camera"
  • 9 responded "Visual field analyzer"
  • 5 responded "Topographer"
  • 4 responded "IPL"
  • 1 responded "Auto refractor"
