Transitions Optical announces 2024 Transitions Innovation Awards finalists

The award program includes Transitions Healthy Sight Ambassador, Eyecare Practice of the Year, Retailer of the Year, and Channel Partner of the Year awards.

The 2024 Transitions® Innovation Awards finalists have been announced by Transitions Optical.1 The award program recognizes both individuals and organizations from the North American region that have demonstrated “unparalleled commitment to implementing innovative programs and technologies over the past year,” according to a news release.

“We are proud to recognize the exceptional achievements of this year’s finalists,” said Drew Smith, senior director of North America channels for Transitions Optical, in the release. “They have set new standards of excellence in our industry while demonstrating commitment to our core values of quality, education, service, and innovation, and we look forward to celebrating their incredible work at Transitions Academy in February.”

The award categories are as follows: the Transitions Healthy Sight Ambassador, Eyecare Practice of the Year, Retailer of the Year, and Channel Partner of the Year.1

Transitions Healthy Sight Ambassador

Brandy Yeack, CPOA, the practice manage of Valley Eye Care in Corvallis, Oregon, and Ric Peralta, ABOC, consultant and senior optician/lab manager at Focal Point Optometry in Fullerton, California, were announced as finalists for the Transitions Health Sight Ambassador award, which celebrates those who promote healthy sight in their patients and communities, as well as being an influential advocate of Transitions’ brand values.

Eyecare Practice of the Year

Eye Specialists of Mid-Florida, P.A., of Florida, Eye Station Optical and Vision Plus Optometrists Corporation, both of British Columbia were chosen as finalists for the Eyecare Practice of the Year award. The North American title recognizes an independent eye care practice or retailer with less than 20 locations in US or Canada and exemplify Transitions’ values and commitment to enhancing vision.

Retailer of the Year

Henry Ford OptimEyes, Sam’s Club, and Theodore & Pringle Optical are in the running for the Retailer of the Year award. North American retailers with 20 or more locations and exemplify Transitions’ values and commitment to enhancing vision are eligible for the award.

Channel Partner of the Year

Opto-Réseau and Vision Source are finalists for the Channel Partner of the Year, North America award, which recognizes an optical laboratory, Managed Vision Care company, lens manufacturer, or buying group. The award recognizes the organization that best promotes healthy sight and support in Transitions’ values.

The winners of the 2024 Transitions Innovation Awards will be announced during the Transitions Academy 2025, being held from February 2 through 5 in Orlando, Florida.1
