Vision Expo West 2024: Great odds of educational opportunities

Las Vegas, Nevada is where the latest in eyewear and fashion will meet a focus on education.

Ophthalmic professionals will gather at the Vision Expo West (VEW) 2024 annual meeting on September 18-21 in Las Vegas at the Venetian Expo.

Conference organizers herald this meeting as “the complete event for ophthalmic professionals, where eye care meets eyewear, and education, fashion and innovation mingle.”

The focus is solidly on education. Opportunities abound for in-depth presentations during each day of the conference, with sessions running from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm on September 18, 7:15 am – 6:00 pm on September 19 and 20, and 7:15 am – 3:00 pm on September 21.

The exhibit hall hours are 9:30 am – 6:00 pm on September 19 and 20, and 9:30 am – 3:00 pm on September 21.

Something for everyone

Attendees will have access to hundreds of hours of accredited education on optometric, opticianry, and business topics that range from disease management and practice growth, to lens innovation, and eyewear trends among others.

Doctors attending VEW can attend courses specifically developed to enhance both patient care and practice growth presented by experts in Optometry.

Opticians and allied health professionals that include contact lens professionals, allied ophthalmic professionals, optical assistants and office managers, frame buyers, and lab technicians will have access to the OptiCon @ Vision Expo education package that provides 6 areas of education: optical technology, allied health, contact lenses, practice management and business solutions, and American Board of Opticianry & National Contact Lens Examiners (ABO NCLE) basic, advanced, and practical exam review courses.

September 18

Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament, presented by Prevent Blindness, kicks off Vision Expo with a 7:00 am tee time at the Bali Hai Country Club. Registration is at 6 am.

The Global Contact Lens Forum runs from 08:00 am - 01:20 pm and is comprised of multiple sessions that offer practical tips about clinical and business processes that will elevate specialty contact lens practice to the next level.

Marketing4ECPs Marketing and Social Media Bootcamps will take place during 6 sessions from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
