Online eyewear retailer Coastal Contacts Inc. has appointed Greg Lechner vice president, business development, USA. He had been a senior marketing, brand and business development executive at Luxottica Group.

Vancouver - Online eyewear retailer Coastal Contacts Inc. has appointed Greg Lechner vice president, business development, USA. He had been a senior marketing, brand and business development executive at Luxottica Group.

"We are pleased to have Greg join the Coastal team as we build out our leadership group and infrastructure with the goal of becoming the World's Optical Store," Roger Hardy, Coastal's Founder and CEO, said. "His experience will be of great value as Coastal continues its expansion into the US market through enhancements to our online product offering and development of strategic partnerships with retail chains, eye-care practitioner groups and managed care organizations."

Lechner held positions of increasing responsibility at Luxottica, USA, including vice president of strategic partnerships, marketing for Lenscrafters, and positions in Internet strategy and phone sales and service.
